Lol, the one that you and your lady argue over is the Fuchsia color. Its in between a pink and purple color. In my personal vehicles, Toyotas, use pink coolant

I have been taught do not mix any of them. Green is regular
antifreeze and the colored ones are extended life. Different
manufacturers use different colors. Try to find out what the
truck has in it before you add any. Sometimes they have a small
tag showing what was installed from the factory......Good luck.

Just don't mix regular green with any red or purple extended life or vice versa. However I'm given to understand it's okay to mix different [red or purple] extended life fluids if you need to.

Green and red (more of an orange) is practically the same stuff.

The difference is green uses silicates as corrosion inhibitors. CAT blamed these silicates as the cause of their water pump failures some 20 years ago. I tend to think it was their cheep imported parts at the time but truth is IDK and no one else has good conclusive answers.

You can blend both types because they are basically the same ethylene glycol for about 98-99% of the composition. Only a small % of the corrosion inhibitors differ. Manufactures say that only after you get past 10-20% dilution of the orange with the green, does the long life corrosion protection of the orange suffer.

I might have said red when I should have said orange. I guess bottom line is there is the "cheap" antifreeze and there is the really expensive extended life antifreeze and ideally these should not be mixed
