SENIORS DRIVERS SAYED CONWAY IN NOT THE SAME COMPANY WAS 10 YEARS AGO Conway freight is horrible company to work This company needONE STRONG Union i quick after 4 months thanks God i comeback to fedex i feel better in here(FEDEX) ULB terminal long beach CALIFORNIA sucks horrible OUtbound supervisors the same with santa fe spring FACS . They hold you to a high standard, which is good to a point, but then it becomes too controlling. They tolerate discrimination, and take care of senior employees, to the point of hypocrisy I felt treated unfairly. Myself and 4 new drivers worked as drivers, all 4 we quick already i dont recomend this company to any driver u are just another production number everything you have read about working 12 to 14 hours with only one 30 minute break is true. And Some management do micro manage and gossip. I have worked for other LTL and with the exception of the Excessive over time. The others are the same way. Money is good, Cameras are in the truck ( for safety) And Con Way does act like you are a lazy bum if you want to go home before working at least 10 to 12 hours. Health care is only OK. If you want home time this is not the place if you like over time and a chance to make a lot of money and can handle some stress. This is a Ok job. It is not rare for Conway to ask you to use the 16 hour rule to work more hours. They tell you once a week it allowed. But when you say working that late I do not feel safe. They act like you are weak while the CEO says Safety is priority ONE. He may not know what really goes ON conway freight the same like werner in the ltl world.

Besides the cameras in the trucks, they've got lane drift assistance and forward looking radar. Right?

So maybe they should be called Conway Fright because they sound kinda scary to work for, making test subjects out of their drivers.

I worked for them a long time ago,and for a new hire to make any money
you had to stay working at the dock loading and unloading trailers. all the new
guys have to call dispatch every morning at 6:00 am to see if they had work that day.
Now this was my experience with the terminal out of Miami. a few times I was sent to help
at other terminals, once at Pompano Beachand a few times to Palm beach and I can say that the experience
was completetly diferent, from the way the terminal was managed to the way dispatch treated the drivers.
also you cant transfer to another location if you have less than a year working for the company.
the trucks at the Miami terminal were horrible, very little maintenance and most of the trucks did not have A/C
and in order to get any repairs done you'd have to sent the truck to the Orlando terminal almost 300 miles away.
and god forbid you needed tires for your truck.
This was my experiece with those people, I know of other drivers that are happy there, regardless of the treatment.
