My company pays that way, paid every other week for what was turned in 2 weeks ago. They have an outside payroll company take care of payroll. Checks are always there when there supposed to be.
It’s not bad, but you need to make friends with a budget. When I was a corporate office drone, I was paid a set yearly salary and was paid on the last working day of the month.TB John Thanks this. -
So what ur saying is, Example because this happened to me, I worked turned all paperwork in, 2 weeks later the week I’m supposed to get for those loads, No check just settlement showing fuel I brought, ur saying that’s ok huh? They told me I had to wait till next week to get paid for those loads I was supposed to already b paid for, That’s ok huh ? The next week same dam thing then they give com check! If ur saying that’s ok ur full of BS!

Not all companies pay every week and nothing says they are required to do so. If your company pays the way you stated and you didn’t know or understand that, that’s on you.
Now, if you were told differently when you started and then they told you this after the fact, then no, it’s not okay. I would be looking for a new place to work, no one should tolerate their pay being messed with.
BTW: I would not accept a com check as payment. I want my funds direct deposited into my bank account on the day agreed to. If the company I work for doesn’t offer that, I don’t work for them. I don’t have time to waste trying to get my paycheck cashed. As I sure as #### will not pay some fee to have my money. -
1. If you didn’t know the pay policy when you signed on, that’s on you.
2. If you can’t go two weeks without pay, then you have bigger problems than their pay habits.
3. BONUS REPLY! No company will repo anything after only two weeks.
None of these things makes them a bad company.
Anyway, best of luck to you. Things could be worse. You could be a Kentuckian.Broke Down 69, Lonesome, mjd4277 and 2 others Thank this. -
Thank you Frank Speak for putting it more succinctly.Lonesome and Frank Speak Thank this. -
