Close, Continental bought General. I have set on General drives that came with the truck. They are not bad at all and tire has a big Continental sign on them
Conti vs Michelin steer tires, which is the best choice?

Michelin 16 ply only for steers

Steer tires? Michelin. There is no better tire on a cost per mile basis. Don't trust your life to cheap steer tires.

For 50 bucks extra I’d go Michelin although I’ve had great luck on the drives with conti at a big discount compared to Michelin’s .. on the steer they seemed to wear quicker but I damaged one from road debris and changed both early so can’t say for sure on total tire life

Michelin X Line Z - $645 (I think $585 without fees)
Continental Conti EcoPlus HS3 - $612
Bridgestone R283a - $695
Lady also said that in order to get the best deal from Michelin (not sure if she meant better then price above) one has to open national account. I do not have one and I told her that I don't have one and won't be opening one and that is the price I gotRideandrepair Thanks this.
