    Construction begins on new truck stop in Lubbock
    Construction on a new truck stop in Texas began earlier this week Work on the new Chisum Travel Center began on July 8th, and is expected to last through July 31st, 2025.
    The truck stop will be located at Slide Road, otherwise known as FM1730, and Woodrow Road, otherwise known as CR7600, in Lubbock, Texas. The new location will mark the second Chisum Truck Stop in the area.
    Lubbock’s first Chisum location can be found at 2611 E Slaton Rd.

    I know right? It's hard to believe Lubbock has six truck stops nowadays, and apparently fixin' to get a 7th.

    I'm kind of surprised they're building one in the southwest part of town though, especially that far off of the highways.
