Sounds like a Teamsters Dump Truck!
KMG365 Thanks this. -
Unless he is selling the sleeper trucks at giveaway prices, and your contract pays by the hour, the extra weight of the truck will be revenue lost. Tell your contact to get you what you need, and not what he has to sell.

Sounds like your about to end up with a dump truck that should be an otr general freight truck.
If you want a dump truck buy a dump truck...not a tractor converted into a dump truck.User666, Brettj3876, Dockbumper and 1 other person Thank this. -
Never mind, I thought the title said taking instead of buying. Carry on.

Nothing wrong with pulling a 5 wheel off and putting a tub on as long as it’s specd right, ie not 40 rears and a regular single framebzinger Thanks this. -
Is this going to be a single unit ? As in, take a sleeper twin screw and install a dump bed so you end up with a single vehicle, or, is the seller going to find you a trailer to hook on ? FYI the sleeper will weigh more and prevent you from making more $$$ when you load "pay per weight" loads. Aggregates pay either per mi, or per ton, or per load. This sounds like the seller is B.S. ing you to make a sale.

I have never done anything by the mile with a bucket, and the only way you make money hauling by the ton is being overweight anyways so what’s a couple extra pounds
a straight truck with a dump is definitely a niche market to be in but they do exist, If he is going for a trailer I would definitely go with a coffin bunk though
