compressed air kpa / psi ?

    Hi all, can someone please advise me what Kpa / psi a kenworth compressed air system normally runs at, i think max is 862kpa / 125psi. but I need to find out what it is meant to be cutting out at normally.

    8,6 Bar is enought,some trucks, like Volvo FH runs at 9-10 BAR in brake system, but 4x2 trucktors have addtional 12 Bar tank for air suspention.

    Air pressure may easily be ajusted. But IMO, 8.6 BAR is enought

    100 kpa=1bar

    100 psi ~ 6.5 bar

    120 PSI ~ 8.3 BAR -usual pressure for Europan trucks too, but some truck makers increase pressure up to 10-12 BAR.

    HAH! Thailer brake system makers say, that they design systems for 8-9 bar max and if more then 10 bar in red glad hand - no warranty!

    thanks all, i can adjust the new govenor correctly now! I forgot to check the setting before I took the old one off. :biggrin_25512:
