Good question!
The source every article I've run across on this topic uses-quotes is ATA, as they release turnover rates although not company specific, just in general by otr, ltl etc.
The following link searches "turnover rates" on the ATA site(tons of their articles):

If you happen to find a site please let us know because that would be a great tool for drivers looking at companies.Tonythetruckerdude and rocknroll nik Thank this. -
i kinda knew it was high. After all where I live I know quite a few people who ventured to driving semi trucks. mostly all I know are back in town working odd and end jobs.
it takes discipline.
found this article informative:http://www.truckdriversnews.com/turnover-rate-why-it-is-so-bad-in-trucking/ -
I don't think it takes alot of discipline. I think alot of people see making 45-50,000+ a year and think that is good money. But once they have to start working 70+hrs a week to get it they quit. And all the un-paid time adds up too. Alot of people wont put up with it. -
Exactly. I read somewhere that the average salary for OTR was $37,000. If you talk to most non-drivers and they think truckers make huge money. When I tell them the amount of hours I worked and the fact that some weeks didn't make enough to cover my child support, they are shocked. that and all the "less intelligent" drivers we have to deal with, makes you wonder why we drive at all! If it wasn't for the fact that I love doing it, I wouldn't be thinking of getting back in. -
Well I think the other reason they don't want the turnover rate published by specific company is like what Gas Hauler said in his post......poorly run company.
That being said most of us who drive or have driven for the big companies KNOW that the recruiters color the truth of what is really going on in the company..... In fact most of us would say that they lie thru their teeth in order to fill seats when they know that more than half of the recruits won't last 6 months....which is why there are LARGE orientation classes at ( as Rollover says) the BOTTOM FEEDERS INC. -
You can also look at the FMCSA's SafeStat site and go to the history side and see the number of drivers going back for some time. It's not really a fail safe mode but it will tell you if they cut jobs which should be a warning. You can also see if they dropped in the number of power units. That can mean a lot of things but I would guess they were losing business.

Go for the companies that aren't advertising as much. Those are your companies with low turn over rates.
Tonythetruckerdude Thanks this. -
I went to the web-site, truckingcompanies/turnnover rate, than clicked on the link high turnover rate in the us. very informative.
