I attended a presentation by a trucking company recruiter today and he said they pay for a truck wash once a month. Is that normal or do most companies pay for more frequent truck washes?

We have the same thing and we're chemical haulers.
-
Yep, once a month here and today is the day!
-
About the norm..........
-
my company pays a company to come out every two weeks and wash the trucks, they charge $12.00 per truck, and, well, it looks like a $12.00 wash too.
-
i pull company trailers and they never pay to wash them. They do wash them when they are in for service, but I like to wash them when I do my tractor.
-
company i work for has approx 70 trucks and 140 or so trailers. We have our own wash bay and truck gets washed and detailed every time we come home which is about every 2 weeks. Washing on the road allowed only when extremely dirty.
-
21-28 days for company trucks normally with exceptions (deer caca, and blood after the RV in the lane next to ya' cremates one)
Bigger companies will have wash bays at big terminals, some small companies will have self serve bays as well. -
Jeez...
What...no trucker hats or buffet coupons? -
Nice thing about having my own power washer, when I was driving it was washed anytime I came home.
