I was taught that when someone's passing you on the interstate, you can flash your headlights at them to let them know it's safe to merge in front of you. A double-tap of the brake lights can mean "thank you." There's that charming "honk your horn!" arm gesture truck drivers are so familiar with... and the slightly less charming middle finger. Are there any other forms of non-verbal, vehicular communication?
Communication question.

Flash your lights only during daylight.
Dim your lights during darkness.
Use your marker interrupter or four-way flasher to say 'thank you'.
Equipping your rig with a machine gun should remain a fantasy, but would make you a legend.silverspur, Lonesome, spindrift and 11 others Thank this. -
I just soon you not high beam me.
Would you like someone highbeaming you in your mirror/eyes?
If you turn them off, then on it may be ok,
But why double tap brake lights?
Pass then slow down, hit flashers a flash or two or the intermittent/thank you button. -
From the "grandpa files", on a 2 lane, a "sideways peace sign" meant a cop with radar ahead.

Maybe an old timer can confirm or debunk this, but someone told me once that a single flash of the left turn signal means F-you, but not sure on that one.
D.Tibbitt, Oxbow and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
I don't think so, I've let a LOT of people in, and after a right signal, a single flash of the left, or 2 flashes with the flashers, during the day, usually meant thank you.
rockeee, D.Tibbitt, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this. -
Side note - in NZ , on 2 lane roads, one single flash of the indicator closest to the center lane was 'Hello' upon approaching another truck.MACK E-6, aussiejosh, bumper Jack and 3 others Thank this. -
my interrupt only works on the truck. The trailer is MIA for some reason. -
D.Tibbitt, blairandgretchen and Oxbow Thank this.

Never flash someone, a quick off/on of the lights. I hate being flashed with high beams
