Hi,
I am looking for some information on commercial trucking insurance cost in Alberta and in BC. I am a small operator based in Ontario ( 2 trucks and a few flatbeds running Canada and USA). My insurance rate with Markel went up almost 100% for 2012, and I am searching for alternatives on the West Coast.
Thx.

You want to insure in western Canada to drive in Ontario? How would the location of the insurer change the rate fOr the area your operating in?
-
I am contemplating moving to BC or Alberata.

Alberta
Commercial liability $5,000,000
Cargo liability $100,000
Automobile liability (incl. non-owned trailer) $5,000,000
Less than $900/m
Got another quote with $250,000 cargo for about $750/m, but haven't seen the sheet yet. -
I just paid my premiums last month for the year and it was $1600 / truck and $350 / trailer - that was with 5 mill and no freight coverage.

Running under my company - 05 Freightliner M2 & 06 Great Dane
Yup for a whole year - My driver has 15+ years of experience so that's my thinking in why it's so low. -
That seems very low.
Could you PM me your insurer? -
815\month
2 million
