    Hi Everyone,

So I just got my comdata fuel card. I used it for the first time on friday, it worked. I logged into my account on iconnectdata and the invoice was already there. I'd like to pay as soon as I can but... there is no option to pay anywhere? Has anyone run into this? I've looked everywhere and I can't find anything. I thought it would be as simple as paying a credit card...

Also, as I am scouring these forums I see people write about getting .50-.60 cents per gallon discounts. How is that possible? Is that for O/O with own authority or when you are leased to a bigger company?

    Thanks

    Dan

They should deduct it from your checking once per week or however you have it setup. I used Comdata for the last probably 6 or 7 years avg discount no more then 20 cents. I thought that was good but after reading here on TTR I decided to try signing up for NASTC and got the wex fleet one card. I’ve only been using it about a month but averaging around 45 cents per gallon. Now I feel silly for not doing so sooner.

    That’s been my experience anyway.

I have Landstar Comdata now and had NASTC before that. The discounts are similar, so it does depend on the carrier you're leased to. The reason I had NASTC before was the carrier I was leased to at the time didn't have decent discounts on their Comdata.

Are you leased or do you have your own authority?

As a single truck carrier you won't get any discounts anywhere close to that. Eight cents was the best I ever got & that was @ speedway. Loves or Pilot was 3-4 cents.

Landstar has around 10 cent's better then NASTC discount for BCO's. Just switched from Landstar to own authority and subscribed to their Savinng plus programm. Discounts are still 6 cent's better then NASTC. You can also purchase tires trough Landstar SavingsPlus. If they give the same discounts for tires as for BCO'S will definitely worth it!

Comdata and Fleetone like Visa and MasterCard.
Discounts coming from program providers and not from them. (They probably have their own fuel discount programms also).

Comdata does not have discounts by itself. It can be used as a platform for various discount programs but you need to apply for them first.
I don't use comdata due to their horrible customer service and swindling sales tactics. It got so bad that it must have become the worst customer service in the whole world.

NASTC, TCS, TVC, Landstar - all have around 50-60 cent's discounts. You can get it as a single carrier also if you lease to somebody...

Mudflap has discounts, the app shows the fuel price at the fuel, it isn't as difficult to use as our other fuel card. Doesn't charge 6$ like the ATM.
