Are their any chain up areas between Denver and Cheyenne on I-25? Does Colorado require chains to be carried on that road?

You do not need to carry them, but then again you can not proceed without them if the signs are on. The odds of needing to use them on I25 are slim, maybe 2-3 times a year tops.

you are required to carry chains throughout the entire state. from sept. to may. every road in to colorado has a sign.

You better have them tonight, they are expecting 16 inches Limon, 15 inches Denver and 11 in Cheyenne by morning. God only knows what Raton will get.

While the law spells out I-70 from MM 259 to MM 133, keep in mind, there are chain up locations on I-70 E. of Denver, I-25 So. of Denver, I-76 N.E. of Denver, US 287 So. of Lamar, US 385 between Limon and Otis. All of these are on the Eastern plains. During the storm a few weeks back, the chain law was for the Denver metro area.
