Of course a lot has changed during the 30 years I've been gone but as I recall, when I left OTR for local, DOT had made coffin sleepers illegal on the grounds that drivers could not get proper rest in them. Word was, trucks manufactured from then in could not be made with coffin sleepers.
But my friends husband has a new Pete with a coffin sleeper.
What gives?
Coffin Sleepers- A thing of the past?

We’ve had em for ever. I just got issued a 2021 a few weeks ago. No complaints. It even has a small fridge in it.D.Tibbitt, drh72, Dale thompson and 2 others Thank this. -
Ran this for about a year and 3 months OTR. It got a little too crammed after a while and I got sick of getting dressed/undressed on my bed. Lightweight was 27k with both tanks full though lol
