Have a issue with my Cobra 29 Weather NightWatch. I purchased the unit new in the box and had the guys at the OK City East TA CB Shop tune it up. Since then, the CB side of the radio goes dead intermittently. I took it back to the same shop, they checked their work, everything checked out OK. I have not had a chance to take it to another shop yet for a 2nd opinion. Just curious if anyone else has had this problem or has any ideas. The Weather Side is not affected and works fine.
Setup:
2011 Cascadia, Factory Wiring
Factory Antenna Mounts
Francis 4 1/2 Foot Pre-Tuned Antennas
Thanks for the help!

Could it be a BAD CB antenna maybe a cold solder joint?

"... everything checked out OK."
What does that mean? Does it mean it worked when you took it to them or does it mean it didn't work but they weren't competent enough to diagnose this issue, etc? -
Larryaz, I also have one of these radios and have had this same thing happen to me. I took it to a CB shop and had it explained to me that the transmit and receive functions on this radio use the same circuitry. That means whenever one goes out, the radio is essentially dead. Turned out I had a loose wire in my microphone. After I put a new mic on, it worked just fine. You might give it a try. It's always a good idea to have a spare mic anyway. Good Luck.
