anyone know of companies that run coast to coast and stay mostly southern? i don't mind the north, but after 7 years of running in the snow, i'm ready for some sun. would love something running I-40 or south:biggrin_2551:

Truthfully, since BNSF started the stack trains from LA to Memphis, we've done very sporadic coast to coast stuff. It's just incomparable what you save and it's a 2 day transit to LA and a 3 day transit from LA.

You are better off living down near I-20/ I-10. Not many run I-40 unless they are from your area. Most run across I-80 or step down to I-20 east of me. I-40 cuts your choices down.

You are in the heart of chicken country. Getcha a dead chicken job! North/south from there ain't bad. You average 1000 mile runs with the right company.

I-40 ? You mean you've never seen ice/snow over Flag/Albuquerque/Amarillo/OKC ? How about I-10 iced up 'tween San Antoine and El Paso ? Or near Lordsburg like a month ago ?

But to answer your question, talk to Kennesaw, Quest and a couple more out of Atlanta area, including East/West out of Villa Rica.

Kennesaw is a good one. But I think he's outside their hiring area?

They pay good. They use to have a stay 5 years and get a $10,000 bonus.

Ice on I-10? Sure just kick back for the 2 or 3 days every 5 or 6 years you see ice on 10. No big deal. 58 degrees here in North Texas today. A bit chilly for me but it's still an average February day.

You beat me to it about I-40. I've seen it "interesting" from Seligman all the way to Albq.

I-10 was iced up pretty good there in west Texas in early January.
