What should I expect to pay to have a clutch replaced in my truck? Mechanic said I am close to needing one. Going to just get it done.

$1800-$3000, depending, might as well get a good Eaton, no Alliance, also Eaton install kit, do rear main seal, turn/exchange flywheel. Parts around $1000-$1200. Labor just as much, maybe more. $2400 IMO is a fair price, for good parts, and a good job. Even $2600, if it’s done right. It’s a big job. Could probably be done for less. You get what you pay for. It’s worth the cost.Should last for years.

Unless you have an auto-adjust, like what is in my freightliner. Those are a bit more. Don't forget to have the fork and brake inspected/ replaced.

If its that volvo your paying to put in a clutch they will have to pull some of the air tanks louse and lift up the motor a bit to get trans out and it may cost some extra labor hours?

On my Detroit 60 they had to drop the air tanks to drop the trans. Went to pick up the truck after they closed the idiots didn't hook up the airline to the one air tank, had to fix it myself in the parking lot in the dark. Like I said idiots.
