Clearinghouse registration help

I dont think you guys understand what the OP is saying.She/he is locked out of their account while/after trying to register on the FMCSA PORTAL.I am having the same issue.I can log on the clearinghouse but not the fmcsa portal.I called and the hiold time is about 40 minutes.I just hung up and emailed fmctechsup@dot.gov to reset everything.After unlocking my stuff the first time, now, I can't even remember that long username they require.Forgot passord will not even help you, becasue you need to anser 3 questions and I couldnt.THIS IS HEADACHE.Still waiting on their email response

 

I was able to register as a CDL holder without problems.
As an independent, I needed to register as a company too and that's when I run into the same issues too. I thought I knew my password in order to sign in to FMCSA portal, as a part of the registration process but it did not work (or I forgot) .When I tried to retrieve it, it asked me 3 security questions and it did not like my answers .(WTF?). Typical mess they create...

 

I also emailed them the problem, which seems to be the only way to contact them about the issue.

I guess another question is what happens, if you are unable to register by January 6?

 

It took me four days to finally get it right because I didn’t see part where you select yourself as the admin.
Part of the time I would login and get a blank screen, then when it did load it was so slow it timed out.

I did but I don't think it is required yet.
I registered as a company but I checked that I did not have the DOT# and that I would provide it later...I don't know, if that's a proper way of doing it but it did let me finish registration without linking to my FMCSA account, which is something that I don't know how long it'll take me to figure out. I will try to link it later from my Profile...

I kind of think that for the registration to be fulfilled, the DOT # is required there. I just hope that I did not complicate matters for myself.
