I bought couple of radios from Clay's. Good price and tune. He has closed his Weatherford store and is working out of the AmBest Pearsall Travel Center in Pearsall , TX. Guess he decided to go get some Eagle Ford Shale money as well. He set up all Haliburtons radios. He has been around for over 20 yrs and has mostly good reputation. He got busted long time ago for over powered radios. Think he paid a fine. Not shut down or license removed. He took care of me after so many on here raved about Sparky's CB. Now there is a real crook. Luckily PayPal refunded the money for the radio I did order and the money for the 2 I didn't order. And never saw a one of them. -
huh, his website still says Weatherford, TX. I was going to stop by on my next trip out I-20. What is the adress of the new store?

excuse me for not being up to date sparkys was a good place he just got sick but as jesse stated too he shouldnt have opened his site for members to still get their radios serviced buy radios etc....
theres always going to be mixed opinions on cb shops no one is going to always agree on them

As for Clay's. I've been doing business with them since back when he use to be out off I-20 near Ranger TX. where they had the old Truck Wash that they used to tune antenna's under...(Yes, a metal building you park UNDER, and they set the SWR inside the steal building!)...never understood how that worked. Later they moved to Weatherford and started selling Motorcycle accessory's, but still selling CB's too...
Never had a problem with Clays, and always seemed to have decent prices and good work...Haven't bought anything from them recently tho. -
Clay has been in the game for about 30 years. He did alot of the radio setups for the ITA guys back in the day when they wanted what they called extra channels. Actually adding a crystal and tricking a chip to open the radios up to the lower side of the 11 meter band. GREAT guy and GREAT work!

Just had my current radio tuned by Clay today. He tuned one for me about 20 years ago. We'll see how it does tomorrow. I'm betting on happy results. Galaxy 959 8 to 14 PEP.
