The Official MTO truck handbook states "Class A license does not permit you to drive a bus carrying passengers" I would Like to get my class B as well. I begin my class A training next month at quite the cost and am wondering what extra work must I do to attain my class B. Thank you

Class C is also buses, but non school buses, if you have an AZ its only ten bucks and a written test to add the C onto your licence, the B requires more training on dealing with kids and the stop signs and flashing lights and possibly criminal record check as well.
Want2BTrucking Thanks this. -
I dont intend on working with school children either. I am thrilled to hear this, Thank you so much

When you go in to write the written A and Z tests be sure to say you will do your C as well. As mentioned it's 10 bucks or so and then when you do the road test for your A it doubles as the C test. No extra testing needed.

from what I understood when I went through is that you had to write your C before driving for your az

Isn't the difference between B and C - B is for school bus but also covers commercial bus - C is commercial bus only? Anyone can go get C licence, but I thought you had to be hired by a school bus driving company to be allowed to go get the B .. ?
