I know they do a lot of Canada. Their truck speeds have been turned back too, to comply with Ontario law. I used to know an ex-Churchill driver when I worked at A.D. He didn't like them. Said they ran you illegal too often in order to make OTD.

    Hope that helped some.

I was looking at them about 1 year ago when I was going to get back into Trucking. If you live in Michigan you will haul alot of Sunrooms additions from Temo in clinton twp Mi. down to Florida. Some trucks are teams. you will get a load going back to Canada but uselly you can drop that at the Detroit yard for a local driver to take it to canada. Thay do haul other stuff, some automotive. pay i think was 41 cent per with exp. its a home on weekends kind of company. Thats about all I can remember. Hope that helps ya.

Worked for this company for 3 years, I highly recommend this company to anyone living in southeastern MI. Pay was starting at 38 cpm with penny increases every year no cap. Home every weekend and once you prove you can run you will run hard. Trucks goverened at 66mph. Trucks are ALL clean on the inside equipment is very well maintained trailers well maintenenced. Averaged 3100 miles a week on 5-6 days work. I would still be working there now, but they decided I am not good enough to work for them anymore, oh well life goes on... its been 3 years since I worked there not much has changed I still keep in touch with other drivers there, and they are very busy freight wise now. This company is very safety oriented safety is not a joke at Churchill. Just thought I'd give out some detailed info I don't see much on this board about them.

Eugene Gerald (Jerry) Churchill died June 7, 2008, after a brief hospitalization in Fort Meyers, FL. He was 69.

Churchill worked in the insurance and auto sales fields prior to finding his niche in the trucking industry, starting with a single tractor-trailer and building Churchill Transportation into an international transport business.

Jerry had an extended racing career which covered many countries. He was a longtime participant in many racing series including ARCA, NASCAR and La Carrera Panamericana. Jerry was an avid captain and received his 100 ton vessel license. He loved adventure.

Churchill was born September 18th, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan, but grew up across the river in Windsor, Ontario Canada. When he was 12, Churchill was introduced to racing - selling popcorn at the now defunct Dayus Raceway in Windsor. He was 23 when he bought his first racecar, a 1949 Hudson. Churchill's driving career continued with local racing at Checker Flag, Dayus and Bluebird Speedways in Ontario, as well as Flat Rock Speedway and Mt. Clemens Race Track in Michigan and Toledo Speedway in Ohio. He won a track championship in 1973 in Ridgetown, Ontario, then moved to touring series competition including ARCA, NASCAR Sprint Cup and IMSA road racing. He was especially fond of off road and road course racing later in his career, often competing south of the border in the annual Mexican LaCarrera Pan Americana for vintage cars, as well as the Michelin One Lap of America presented by Car & Driver.

Any more info on Churchill from Detroit?

I have been out of trucking for 2 years now (thats my only downfall 2 years out of the seat)

i have been looking for a local driving gig for a month now, i can not take it no more ! lol so by next Monday if i do not hear anything from a few prospective employers im 99% sure i will be going to churchill.

they pay low at least for to me, 35cpm and you have to run Canada runs but its a job and they have decent tractors. So some help needed if anyone can fill me in some on them it would be a great help.
