    yes. i do.
i use artificial tear drops every few hours....when driving...
used to wear contacts but eyes got so dry after 2 hrs they would just fall out.
now wear glasses. doc says its from staying focus while driving and not blinking. you must tell yourself to blink i guess....according to him.
I thought I was going blind from all the porn....go figure haha

You might want to try Systane, or Genteal. Not sure about the artificial tears. But the other two put more of a film on the eye to help coat it. The Systane is around $11.00 - $14.00 for a bottle.

You are right about not moving the eyes and it not helping with dry eyes. But age also has a lot to do with it. Also make sure you are staying hydrated with water during the day.

Also my sister says that our eyes put a film on and perhaps it would be a good idea to wash your face and rinse with warm water to help remove the film.

I have a condition known as "erosion of the cornea "
To keep it simple my left eye dries up and the cornea sticks to my eyelid.when I open my eyes in the morning my cornea peals off (excruciating pain)
    I use a cream at night (muro 128 )
It cost 28 bucks for 1/8 ounce but last 3 months.make sure to get the cream not the drops.
No problems for 5 years now

go to an ophthalmologist who can help you with the correct eye drops for you. he/she may also recommend you see another eye specialist, if there is something going on inside the eye that he/she cannot help you with.

if you are using over the counter drops, they may not have what your eye actually needs in a prescription formula.

i'd NOT use anything that some here are telling you to use, only because they are not doctors and can actually hurt you with the wrong advice.

Yeah, I have the condition and it sucks. Doctor says nothing can be done except eye drops but that doesn't work for me. I have a small water filled spray bottle I use to squirt my eyes probably 50 times a day. Its a common condition as you age.

I have a mild dry eye problem. Eye doctor told me oils in the eyes can clog the tear ducts. The best way to unclog them is to put a very warm washcloth over your eyes in the morning. It really helps if I remember to do it.
