The mother of my children is intent on making me miserable. I'm not letting her get to me. It's almost as if she's upset that I'm doing well for herself, she has a new boyfriend and baby on the way yet it still seems to bother her that I'm not miserable. She's now threatening to take me to court to have child support payments increased, strictly out of spite. I pay all my child support weekly and on time only problem is I know she doesn't spend all the money on my kids as she is supposed to. She's basically living off me but anyway when I first got put on child support they were basing it off of my training pay. My kids stay and Illinois and Illinois goes by %17 of your gross pay. I just wanted to know if I could tip the scales in my favor if she does take me back to court. Illinois usually gives me a month and a half advance when calling me in to go to court so I was wondering if I could ask my company to put me on a miles cap and keep my miles low in the weeks leading up to my court date if she calls me in? That way if they ask for paystubs I could just make it appear as if I'm not making as much. I work hard, pay all my bills, give as much time and money to my kids as I can, even outside of child support. She hasn't allowed me to talk to them since the end of November because "I don't pay enough" she's really trying to make this hard for me. Would this work?

You do NOT ever want to tell your employer to keep miles low. That's fraud or deception in your favor. You can be prosecuted for it. Wouldnt she love that.

You will make whatever you will make in trucking. That state will take their 17%. What you need to do is retain if you do not already every scrap of paper related to payroll each week. Because there will be some weeks your miles will be low through NO FAULT of your own. That is why there should never be a attempt from you to your bosses to short your miles that could be documented and used against you after discovery.

Sooner or later those kids hit 18 and that will be THAT. End of that episode. Hang in there.

You can try that with your company, they may help, may not... Been through what you are going through, towards the end, my daughter was 15 and I was paying $635 a week as a company driver. Do whatever you can, because when a woman gets her teeth into you, it can get very ugly. And FOC is not going to have mercy on you, as you are nothing more than a cash cow. ;-)

I completely forgot one other thing.

Your CDL. It's earned by you and a License to go and generate this income in a Professional Manner and so forth.

It can and WILL absolutely be stripped from you for non payment of child support. The state giveth, the state taketh. Follow me?

Even talking about the possibility or question about having a future employer or boss short your overall income to cheat your exwife using the very state's collection (Enforcement) against her. Is discoverable and can be used against you. I understand you had a question and asked it. But I strongly suggest you delete this stuff when you have the answers you seek, somewhat soon.

As far as I am concerned this is strictly a what if talk and I told you all I know about this kind of situation. Just be careful.

I keep thinking of the kids. Im sure you love them and all that. Be very careful with the idea that your exwife is not spending the money on them as required. That can burn you really bad if it is ever wrong. Follow me?

If you gross 4-5k a month and
They can't really prove deception if there's no proof. For all they know you've just had some slow weeks. With that being said, I really think it would be a bad look if I asked my fleet manager to not run me hard lol. I think the best coarse of action is to forget to slip a few bills in my trip packets.

I have no problem with paying child support. I pay 300$ a week. My point is she is vindictive and I know for a fact she's spending the money on herself. Her job that she's been working at since I began trucking states they've never even heard of her yet she's always on social media with her and nails done. She also lives in a section 8 house so bills for her are a total of $100 a month. She's turning into a person I don't know. It's crazy what greed does to women.

I'm curious...what is the current agreement as far as what you pay and your visitation schedule? And do you document everything? How old are the kids?

    Ok, I say this.

This is part of my Belief system in God. It may not apply to you because I don't know you personally.

    Consider this thought.

If someone is boastful on social media as you stated while living in HUD Housing etc at some point in the future those boasts and displays of wealth must turn to ash in that person's mouth from greed.

If you know anything about HUD, it is not possible to remain in one after a annual review uncovers undeclared wealth, monies or assets of any kind that is not already sworn to in that review.

Follow me? At some point in the future if she is not careful she will be brought to account. It's best to er.. pray for her and stay out of her way as she barrels to whatever that future might be. People have a habit of getting caught into a trap of their own design and building. And so it is.

Change companies to a company where you know the checks will be low. After court is settled, go back to the company you now work for. Some flatbed companies with regional runs, the paychecks are really small and some of those hourly local jobs are poverty wages.

Well initially we were on good terms, she was very supportive of me getting into trucking earlier this year then out of no where she with me child support. I didn't mind but it caught me off guard because she said she'd never put on child support. Anyway we get passed that and then out of nowhere she just flips on me out of nowhere. For some reason it seems like she just hates my guts, her attitude towards me has changed so drastically and I have no idea why. Legally we never set up visitation because we were very cordial despite our breakup and I'd just ask can I come get my kids whenever I was in town and she'd be OK with it. My oldest son will be 4 on the 25th and the youngest turns two in July. I have all of our text convos saved as well as the phone calls I've made where she doesn't answer. I think she's blocked my number. The saying "Mo Money, Mo Problems" is truly starting to mean something to me.
