    It's based on income.

In Texas it's 20% on one kid, calculated by after tax with claiming 1 personal exemption.
My ex takes me back to OAG every year hoping for more money.

Who cares though? I'd rather pay 800/month grossing 5k+ than only pay 400/month grossing 2500.

Assuming the support figure is agreed to in the beginning (and not a percentage of gross income) then ... only if the other party decides your income has changed significantly and wants to hire an attorney and fight to have a modification to the support amount.

Whereby you will have to be prepared to demonstrate the high cost of living on the road (meals) and that there is often a great deal of variance to one's gross wages from pay period to pay period in many trucking gigs.

Lots of people see the billboards about "drivers can make $60,000 the first year" and assume all new truck drivers do this. So it will be on you and your attorney (if it comes to that point) to put a stop to this line of thinking if you're in fact making typical new driver wages that are largely dismal.

But actually I don't think they could raise support off va disability pay and crsc payments.. I'm not sure so I don't mention it to ex ever.. I end up spending another 300 every month on my daughter when I have her.. but I know what that money buys.. not like the 500 I send to ex.. cigarettes and ho around money I'm guessing lmao

It's all related to the op's state. In Texas all regular forms of income are calculated in, employment+government income+annuities etc.
