Since last weekend I haul a heavy load (43000 lbs) from IN to CA, today ,I found my check engine fault light on.
I have checked the oil, it is good.
What does this light on mean? Now we are running to GA.
Anybody can advise what should I check?
Appreciated.

Hopefully you're checking more than just the oil..
The light could mean anything from a buggy sensor to worse. If you're a company driver let the dispatch know and get to a shop before it becomes a real problem.
The last truck i had (2017 volvo), check engine light was on at 30 miles... brand new right? I wouldn't panic just yet, but if a STOP light comes on then something is definitely wrong.wallance Thanks this. -
Did you look in the computer to see if any faults show to you?
Otherwise.... It has to be hooked up to a computer at the shop.wallance Thanks this. -
There are literally hundreds of reasons why you could be showing a CEL. And, unfortunately, I don't have my diagnostic dice with me today, so judging from afar is going to be a bit... difficult.
Your best bet is to have it hooked up and scanned for DTCs.Odin's Rabid Dog, shogun, stwik and 4 others Thank this. -

Protip: do not go to that website after drinking. You will end up buying some weird #### and having no idea why when it shows up.Odin's Rabid Dog, Justrucking2, gentleroger and 2 others Thank this. -

If it’s a DEF truck it’s probably something with the emissions and will clear itself, I had a 2015 freighter that always did it. Check coolant too.
wallance Thanks this.
