Looking for the cheapest CDL school in the chicago area. Ive called around and they pretty much all offer the same things.... no extra fee to re-take a test, 60 min classes, learn how to double clutch and float.... etc
Cheapest CDL classes in Chicago, anyone know?

Have you checked with your local Community/Technical Colleges Truck Driver Training programs? They can help you with funding, if you qualify.

60 min. classes? you got to be kidding.
classes should be longer, and then when going into a truck to learn you need at least 2 hours in a day total 5 days a week.
i would check out a local community college. most of the truck driving schools, like C-1 and so on seem to have one mission in mind, get the numbers through and let the companies do the major training.
if you go to a school that is taught by veteran derivers with at least 25 years or more, would be a plus. this way they will pass on knowledge you need.
if you find a school that runs for at least 9 to 10 weeks, and you go for about 6 hours a day would be a good school. any school 3 weeks to 4 weeks you may not get what you need and when you go to a company to train with a trainer you may get lost, because some trainers don't have enough time behind the wheel themselves. i have known of some companies that ask drivers with only 6 months or less to become trainers. -
my college wants $4500 while other CDL classes around the city are around $2k
