CHEAP FREIGHT WOW

    Hello all

    moved a load today oxnard ca to tampa flat 2600 miles and my phone blew up...moved it for $3600 bucks......HOW THE HECK DO FLATBED DRIVERS MAKE A LIVING??

    I feel bad honestly because I had 5500 in the load buit HOW DOES ANYONE ACCEPT THAT MY PHONE BLEW UP

    Why didn't you pay 4800 if you had 5500? I don't know why they took it at that! I personally would not have done it for 5500. But hey that's just me.

    The guys that are trying to go out of business. I'm seeing loads posted at $0.75 a mile and 48k lbs. I'd sell th
    e truck before I moved anything as cheap as you moved that load.

    because I wanted to make more money its way of living man but still couldnt believe it. I always post dirt cheap so i can negioate. People called in and said ill do it

    i have to agree man as a broker its nice but as someone who is going towards opening his own trucking company makes no sense

    crooked why? i posted a load and people accepted...if you saw a nice paying load would u tell the shipper "no thats to much ill take less"

    Would you refuse his money if he was paying too much? I know I never have. If guys are dumb enough to run that cheap why should he short himself?

    I thought with long haul coast to coast west to east was supposed to be the money direction? Is it different for flats? The rate you got paid yourself is terrible, never mind the truckers willing to work all week for nothing. But at least you aren't wearing out equipment and your overhead is more easily managed. $1,900 from a load is great money. If you ever book a truck that costs you big money when they screw it up you ought to have a sizable enough bankroll to absorb the loss. Brokers running down good rates are just as big of a problem out here as truckers.
