moved a load today oxnard ca to tampa flat 2600 miles and my phone blew up...moved it for $3600 bucks......HOW THE HECK DO FLATBED DRIVERS MAKE A LIVING??
I feel bad honestly because I had 5500 in the load buit HOW DOES ANYONE ACCEPT THAT MY PHONE BLEW UP

Why didn't you pay 4800 if you had 5500? I don't know why they took it at that! I personally would not have done it for 5500. But hey that's just me.

I thought with long haul coast to coast west to east was supposed to be the money direction? Is it different for flats? The rate you got paid yourself is terrible, never mind the truckers willing to work all week for nothing. But at least you aren't wearing out equipment and your overhead is more easily managed. $1,900 from a load is great money. If you ever book a truck that costs you big money when they screw it up you ought to have a sizable enough bankroll to absorb the loss. Brokers running down good rates are just as big of a problem out here as truckers.
