I've heard that a ht-60 is better than a hx-60 but I don't know for sure. Call Michigan turbo or pittsburgh power they should have something, not sure on cost

Always take your engine serial number to the Cummins distributer and get the proper turbo that the engine calls for. Always use genuine Cummins parts because of warranty issues. If you use a competitor part because it is "better" you will still get a great warranty for the turbo only. If the turbo blows down the road and causes progessive damage, damage to the rest of the engine, if you used a non-Cummins part the warranty will not cover damage to the engine! Cummins warranty with the Cummins part will cover damage to the engine and in most cases cleaning or replacement of air-to-air. In the long run we never recommend using competitor parts for that reason. Hope this helps.

I'm not 100% sure but ht-60 should be just "backwards" spinning hx-60. ht-60 is stock turbo in 530 hp n-14 celect plus. You cant fit hx series without modifications to n-14.

I read that on a site for little 5.9 cummins engines, can't remember which one and I completely forgot that it wouldn't fit easily, for a 5.9 you just flip the manifold over and everything else is custom anyway so it isn't a big deal

I doubt many people have a warrenty on a n-14. Plus most people know that if you want to play you must be willing to pay, and if you want to use genuine cummins then just get the sn off a bigger cummins engine and use it. A guy once told me that both the turbos hanging of the side of his 5.9 were factory cummins turbos, it's just that one was off an 8.3 and the other was off an 855

Yes, I realize no one has had warranty on a N-14 for quite a few years now. I was referring to the warranty you get with part only!

That is a common combo for high horsepower (good for 375-700hp) 5.9L engines. HX40 and a HT3B usually, on a bigger set. Or, they'll use a smaller HX35 and HT3B (good for 350-600hp) as twins.

I wouldn't mind twin turbos on mine. I HAD a PDR HX40 on mine for a while, but outgrew it. Wasn't enough air for my power level, and towing. Running a High Tech Turbo HTB2 64/14 now. It's good for up to 675hp. :D I'm putting down over 400hp right now. :D
