Have any of you transferred an out of state CDL to NC recently? I just moved there and need to transfer mine. I also have Hazmat. Can you tell me how difficult it was and what all has to be done? Thanks

outterspace nc is hell..just changed mine from wv to here..You will need,
1. proof of residence
2. proof of insurance..weather you own a vehicle or not
3. 30 bucks for the application fee
4. ss card
5. valid dot physical card
6. 40 bucks for the cdl
if you have endorcements, 10 bucks for each one
7. also 15 bucks for every yr your current license is valid
no less then 120 bucks to get them transfered over to nc..outerspacehillbilly Thanks this. -
Wow what a crock of butter! And here I thought Indiana was bad because it cost me $65 last time! Sounds like it's gonna cost me about $150!
BTW do you have hazmat and did you have to go through the background check again just to transfer it? -
Was told from the DMV ITS 40 bucks for the application and 100 to transfer. Add 20 for each endorsement. Need to also have insurance, but didn’t go into detail. Need proof of address, ss card, birth certificate and a dot medical card.
Also seems like they need your first born child and a blood sacrifice.
