doesn't say what time of the day this happened.

i'd suspect a tired cop, going home (maybe), was sleepy, and got on the wrong way??

No telling at the moment but the car heading in the wrong direction was heading back towards Houston not away Houston.

wondering now if she had forgotten something, made a u-turn, thinking she was on a 2 lane road instead of an interstate..

i dunno speculations right now. maybe even hopped up on something, who knows..toxicology reports may not even be available to the public

I 10 in Sealy, TX is under construction there with jersey barriers on both sides. The CFI driver appears to have hit the jersey barrier to try to avoid the four wheeler. I don’t know what else he could of done other than sleep in this morning.

In that area the frontage roads typically have traffic in both directions. Due to construction the frontage road only goes in one direction. If there isn’t “wrong way” signs put up to alert someone they’re going the wrong way, it seems possible that the construction company and or Texas DOT could be facing an extremely large lawsuit.

There are parts of TX where the service roads that run parallel to the interstate make it easy to get on the big road going the wrong way. When I was in high school in TX students were killed a few times per year at the interstate/service road area.

The news said the police officer was a two year vet and was off work the night before. Very sad situation for the officer’s family and friends and the CFI driver who has to live with that for the rest of his life.
