Anyone ever try requesting a copy of it. I got mine back last June but I incorporated shortly afterwards and simply added an inc. after my name for the new company name. My certificate still just has my name, and for all the brokers I have pulled for but one it has been fine but this one is being a pain but do have some good loads in my area. I cant seem to find on the FMCSA web sight where you apply for a copy and cant get anyone to get back to me from there by email or phone.

You need a docket number and pin to request them online. You can request a pin online at the fmcsa site

But if he changed his company name to an inc., he needs to get the Carrier authority amended. That wont be as simple as getting a new certificate sent to him. so the pin isnt going to cut it.

Doing a name change on your MC is a pain in the tucass! First you have to log in using your PIN and change your name to what you want it to be, then you have to refile your BOC3 with your new name on it and have your insurance refiled as well. You will get a letter from the FMCSA in a couple of weeks showing that your name was amended, then you can send a copy of that to the troublesome broker and get them to settle down about it.

Thanks guys. I already did the name change and all through the FMCSA right after I incorporated and your right, it was a pain. I had to cancel out my insurance policy and get a new one 2 weeks after I opened the first policy. I know, poor planning and lesson learned, should have incorporated first. Now I just need a copy of the certificate with the inc. on it as I don't think I received one in the mail. The portal shows my new name on it. I am probably just over looking where you request a copy of it when you log on the sight. Ill admit i loose patience quickly when it comes to dealing with them.

This is all I see on there. I think everyone in this department is either on strike or quit.

Easier to go to http://www.iccasap.com/Pagelinks.html and find your re-entitlement date and just pay for a download. Or you can call or fax FMCSA and just wait some more. I'm not sure if they charge a fee. They probably do. What happened to the one you should have received in the mail a week or two after the re-entitlement was granted?
