Anyone use these before? Are they necessary or just another gimmick?

I've never have used them but some people swear by them. I've always had my tires spin balance on a machine

Anyone who says that they do not work has never used them. I have them on all 3 axles of 6 trucks and at $600 a set per truck, I wouldn't waste that kind of money if it wasn't worth it. It will save your shocks and your tires so drastically much, you'll never go without them again.

Haha no. I have used them for years and I have heard so many drivers claim they don't work and they are lying. I just like making it known that it is a product that works so there is no misunderstanding.

I never used them before until about 7 years ago. I always had my steer tires spin balanced, but they always started getting some weird wear patterns after about 60,000 miles, even after I rotated them to the other side and flipped them around.

I had the Kingpins and alignment checked and they were fine.

I always installed new shocks with every new tire change.

So after about the third set of Bridgestone R287's wearing funny, I installed a pair of Michelin XZA3+ and bought a used set of Centramatics on eBay for $100 in 2010.

Those tires lasted me close to 100k miles and still had life on them, but the left side was wearing out because of a worn drag link that I overlooked, so I installed a set of Bridgestone R283's about two years ago and they've been wearing nice even and smooth ever since.

I even have them installed on the drives with Bridgestone M726EL's and no problems what so ever.

They work for me and I wouldn't hesitate to install them on my next truck.

I put them on my steers after I had trouble getting a new steer tire balanced, several times. I don't know if I would put them on the drives but I won't go without using them on the steers again.

There is a possiblity that they could mask a real problem (as with any active balancing) so regular inspections are probably even more important with them installed.

We put them on steers (only) in our two trucks few years back after the hurricane in LA left the roads so bad they threw the balancing weights off at speed. Not only did they improve the tire life significantly, they also had a nice ride to them. I'll be adding them to our new truck when we replace the steers.

I put them on my new truck. Rotated and balanced the steers at 100k. Aligned at same time. Just changed them out at 200k miles. No uneven wear and still had 7/32 left on them. I put them on my trailer.

There are videos on U-Tube of how they work, and driver testimonials.

I was thinking about a set for my steers. People say it makes the ride even better, and because your always balanced, it actually increase fuel mileage by reducing drag.
