Has anyone been in there or deliver frequently? I was there last week and I have a hunch I may be back. Was tough to get into. I was shaving cars, corners and light poles the whole way.

    I took I55e -> Cicero s -> 55th e-> Kedzie n-> 51st e. I would NOT choose to go that way again. Upon leaving I followed:

51st e-> Western s-> 55th (Garfield Blvd) e-> I94. Was better, but not great. Low branches and 2 low bridges, one was 12' 6".

After looking again I might try I55-> California or Western s-> 51st e.

    Thanks for any input!

California has a 13'4" bridge. There is a small manufacturing area just before you hit the bridge so you will see trucks there.

The official route from I-55 is. Take Pulaski South to Archer. Go east (left) on Archer to Lawndale. Turn south (right) on Lawndale. Go to the stop sign on 51st and turn east. (Left) The plant is on the left.

The turn from Archer to Lawndale has a Candy plant on the southeast corner so there are lots of trucks going in and out. Its a greater than 90 corner, so you may have to swing really wide.

If you are heading east it is often faster just to take 51st all the way to 90/94 rather than go downtown.

    Good info!

One update, 51st to 90/94 is under construction and will detour.

Is this route safe for regular trucks? I have a tall Conestoga, so I'm 13 foot tall. Thanks

Best route is Pulaski to 47th all the way to Western and then right on 51st.
When out used to take 51st to Lawndale and then left on Archer (there's light there).
I stopped going there long time ago but not because of city traffic or tight place.
Those mother@##ers sometimes have you to wait for hours there.
I'll give you a good advice when going pickup/delivery.
    Get the Google Earth app.
Open and check company location. See how place looks like and where's truck entrance.
You need to know always where you going before start driving a big rig. Especially in big cities. You're driving in Chicago (especially south side) and not in a small Dakota town.
I always do that and never had an issue.
Also don't fall in love with your truck GPS. Many times directs you in a route with truck restrictions inside cities.
Use your brain and check maps.
You can also use Google Earth to see street signs for truck weigh

Thank you. I looked on street view as well. Last time I was there was with an open deck and flat top Pete. I've also read the reviews so I'm not gonna get my hopes up. First time I was in and out, but it was in the middle of the night.
