Got a violation for holding my cellphone and talking on the speaker. Not a ticket. Clean mvr and psp, no accidents or issues for 21 years, now I’m worried a warning may put me out of the industry. I asked a recruiter I was speaking with before I took my current gig and he said it’s a no go for his company, mainly new drivers is what they hire but was close so I checked em out. Almost seems I would be bette riff if I woulda got the ticket bc I could fight it. Should I learn to code?

That’s why a lot of them don’t write tickets, because they might have to go to court…. Your basically screwed, that’s a no go at a lot of carriers

No but have a short medium and long term plan and always keep in touch with companies I’m interested in working for or with. Am with an outfit that has three trucks and it’s gonna hurt but not any worse if he disconnects with me. Or tomorrow might be different.

The way I see it when it comes to the cell phone thing you got two options, use a cell phone holder and leave the cell phone in there and don’t even look at it or touch it except to follow your GPS if that’s what you use. Or put it in the bunk. So there’s no temptation.

Yeh, I just was using it on speaker bc it wouldn’t connect to the radio or my headsets. Even says on the violation I was holding it and talking on speaker. Pretty much exactly how I use a cb but it’s the law. Think I’m absolutely screwed.
