Generally speaking, O/Os don't do that sort of thing. You might want to place an ad in your local Craigslist for someone willing to take that chance.
Another Canadian driver and MOBee Thank this. -
Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Wouldn't anyone require a valid CDL to rent a truck to someone?
And wouldn't a permit holder need someone with a valid CDL to be in the truck while they are driving it?Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -

There’s a couple of places in most major towns that rent trucks for taking the test .
I know a guy that has a small truck and trailer that slightly exceeds the 26,000 and he installed a six speed synchronized manual trans ,
He is making pretty good money .
Charges a bundle for the rental and doesn’t allow students to drive it by themselves . He goes with , and hips out for the examiner to ride with you
not sure what town he’s in though .Another Canadian driver and tscottme Thank this. -
There used to be a guy in San Bernardino that rented a truck/trailer for the road test. He parked it near the DMV office advertising it. This may also happen at other DMV offices. Also, talk to a school. Some will rent out their equipment.
