Hello everyone,
I have a CDL A permit with Passenger & School bus endorsement and and now decided that I want to drive a Motor coach/School bus instead. I got a call from Coach offering a job but I do not have my Class B license. Can anyone that please assist me in providing FREE companies or programs to help me get this? I live in Georgia and not working or receiving un-employment I need some help trying to get this new career off the ground so I can make money driving. I do not want to do anything else but drive. I have a clean motor vehicle record and no Criminal Background. I feel that I would be happy finally doing what I love.
all responses are appreciated.
Also, I already have my DOT medical card which I obtained in 06/2017 for driving tractor trailers. The school system sent me to there doctor for another DOT (they said this his who they use) he put 8 people on hold to take a Sleep apnea test due to BMI over 45 (which I have no problem sleeping and I sleep well) my question is I showed him my current DOT medical card and he still has me on hold after he told me if I bring in the DOT card that I have he would pass me (a total lie). This is what is holding me up from getting the training through the school system. CDL drivers/holders please advise and assist me in moving forward. Also, are there any FREE or CLINICAL TRIALS program anyone know of so I can get a sleep study done to move forward.......this is the Dr. request....I was not asked to take one when I did my physical for Truck driving school but this doctor for School medical card is requiring it to pass me.
thanks for taking time to read my post

Georgia has the "Hope Scholarship" program and the "WIOA Program" for cdl school at no cost to you. Since the state is paying for it, get the CDL-A, this way your covered for buses and 18 wheelers.
As for the sleep apnea, maybe www.rpmhst.com has information to help you. -
I maxed out on the Hope Scholarship and Financial Aide when I got my degree in 2014. I will check out the web link that you sent. Thank you for the feedback. I am going to apply Monday for the WIOA program

There's other types of driving jobs other than buses and 18 wheelers that may not care about a sleep apnea study and might accept your cdl school physical.
Have you considered straight trucks and cargo vans? Several companies hire new cdl grads for those jobs.
Here's some photos of Panther Premium Logistics:

I did consider working for a company but not as a regular driver with a class C license I want my CDL. Can you test at the DMV with a van will it meets the weight requirement of 26,0001 plus? I will look into the Company you listed

Companies like Panther require a Class-A and cdl school certificate.
