CB shop in New Paris, Indiana

I know they used to advertise a Cobra 29 Megatune which would turn that radio into a 60 watt beast and any shop claiming they can get 60 watts out of a 29 is not one I would deal with. That was a couple of years ago so it may have different ownership and they may be good, depending on what you are looking for, repair or tuneup.

 

You must be talking about Dub's CB shop in Illinois at the state line. New Paris Indiana isn't anywhere near the interstate from what I can tell.

 

It is New Paris Oh on I70 at Ohio Indiana line inside the Petro.

 

I wouldn't let him work on my radio. I watched him one day. He does everything with a watt meter. No scope or serum analyzer

 

Was it an old timer tech? I heard a CB shop on the radio right there on the line that sounded good. Not over modulated or distorted like most places. just a good clean sound. Didn't have time to check it out.

Sounded like a husband wife business.

 

I don't think so. This was just a guy by himself. From Royal Oak to the things the advertised Isaiah takes out the modulation limiter and opens up the power pot and that's about it
