Mesa CB Wildwood Fl. Wanted my coax replaced on my Wilson 1000 magnetic Mount antenna he said sure it'll be 25 bucks I go get it off of my vehicle bring it in he does the work and he said okay he said now for the fun part the coax itself is $32.50 and the labor is 25 I said man you said it would be 25 bucks to do this he said oh he said I didn't tell you that was just for the labor and I said no you did not he said where ya $25 is just for labor you have to pay for the coax to and I believe the reason that that happened is because I took my radio in as well because their sign on their window said free bench check and I took my radio in and the technician as soon as he got it I'll just told him I wanted to know what radio was doing as soon as the tech got it he started opening it up and I said no no no I just want to know what the radio's doing and the other guy said put the cover back on and if he's not going to have any work done to it and we'll just concentrate on the antenna

US131 CB Shop Byron Center MI.
I took my 2003 cobra 29 LTD Classic in to have it looked at because the final blew. The first issue its ever had. He told me that it was shot and couldn't be fixed at all because parts are hard to find. I know that's not true Id already looked online and found mountains of parts for the cobra 29. He then proceeded to try and sell me one a slew of cobra 29 LTD Classic radios he has used on the shelf and all apparently modified or having the worlds best peak and tune.
He was ( willing ) to take my old radio on trade. At that point I asked how he gets all these radios and he said mostly trade in and upgrades. Interestingly enough almost all of them where more than a new radio.
After a while when he realized I wasn't going to buy a radio he said he could look and MAYBE fix the radio but no promises and there would be a fee involved wether or not he fixed the radio. I said have a good day and walked out with my radio.
I decided to call another shop called Strickland CB and he looked at my radio said no problem at all. He had it fixed, peaked, tuned and its rocking again and was far less than what US131 was going to charge me.Timin770 and HD_Renegade Thank this. -
