I have a cobra ltd 29 with a linenar amp. The problem only happens when i key the mic and transmit. I have never had this problem until recently. Anyone know what that could cause this problem. Coax is fine along with all of the connections.
Thanks!

If your Dynamic mic system is turned up fully it can bleed over all channels and into your Stereo. The DYNA affects reception and transmissions alike, it also works with Squelch and RF Gain. A slight tweak may be all you need. If that doesn't work I would say the probem is within the stereo's reception.
-
Your amp is dirty/cheap and is causing the bleed over. Try putting a snap on choke at the coax where it connects to the antenna and see if that helps with the RF bleed.
-
The choke won't help, getting rid of the junky amp will.

I've noticed this though with radios that arent running amps a few times. When I noticed it , I was in a truck where it had dual cophased antennas , and they were both for FM radio and the CB. After it happening I think I figured out what was going on. Say you were in a city listening to a FM station on the radio...when you would key up it would be just fine. The farther you get from the station , when it starts fading out , is when I noticed when I would key up that it would bleed over the radio. It would either bleed over or completely cut out the radio (FM) , like the CB signal was stronger than the FM since you were getting farther out?

easy fix.......turn off the stereo when the CB is on...least the Amp...

I hope that you weren't running the amp through the stock coax/antenna system. If so, you've probably blown the unit that combines the CB and stereo.

So after some work I finally got another Vertical Mount and mounted. No more coming through the truck radio! Im guessing it was a ground problem possibly. My SWRs are reading around 1:1.05 Amp is running great and sending and recieving excellent. Thanks everybody for the help

some trucks have a combo radio/CB coax, Never use the stock coax, go buy a good coax ond see if this helps
