CB Antenna Springs

    Can I double up two Firestik Springs to give me a few extra inches or will that hurt more than it will help? Thanks!

    You could but I would think the antenna would flop considerably. You could add a wilson or similar type shaft using a 3/8- 24 coupling nut to raise antenna height with less flopping.

    Saw a flatbed pickup running a spring..It was flip floppin like mad..surprized it didnt hit oncomming traffic

    Yeah, thanks. I could never establish a good ground plane with the fiberglass one I had so I just got a Wilson magnet mount for the roof. Problem solved.
