How many of you travel with your cats? I was thinking about bringing mine along but having a hard time deciding where to put the litter box. Not so sure this is a good situation for me. I already have a beagle dog with me. I think this would be way to much.

Box with clumping kitty litter on the floor in front of the passenger seat.

Do you have any issues with her trying to get out of the truck? I’d be interested in taking my cat along at some point, and we already take her traveling in our rv, but I’m afraid she’d get out of the truck and I’d have to leave before she comes back. I don’t like to let her outside, but sometimes she decides she wants to go out and tries her hardest to slip out the door.

Not any more. At first yes. And I used to have to always turn the truck off because she'd roll down the window.

I've thought the same thing. Miss having a furball around! Ran into a couple at a truck stop that had a cat with them and asked them what they do. They are in an International and under the bunk, that space is open. Not closed off where you habe to lift the bunk to have access to it. They put the litter box there in that open space under the bunk and they said it works well for them. Said they change the litter box once a week and don't have any odor problems.
I'm in a Volvo (duh!) and don't have that space available. Also, have my extra case of water in the passenger floorboard and my cooler sits on top of that. I also have a 54 qt. Freezer that sits in the passenger seat. So, still no idea where I'd pit a litter box for my set up. So, no kitty.
Hope you find something that works for you!!
If you do end up with a cat in your truck, They make collars with locator gadgets in them so if your cat gets out and lost, the kitty will be easier to find!!!
