Cat fuel filter upgrade???

    Hope the new year has been a good one, for everyone...now the question?
    Does anyone know of an upgrade(#) of the Cat 1R-0749 to an Ultra High Efficiency Cat filter?

    I think it's 1R1808. That's the high efficient oilfilter for my c13.
    Just ask at the engine service at CAT and they can give you a correct answer. Parts guys can only tell you what's on their screen.

    1R-0749 is fuel and the and the 1R-1808 is oil. Is there anything new or better?

    Correct, BCK
    looking for upgrade for 1R-0749 fuel filter.
    244-4484 Ultra High Efficiency is the upgrade for the 1R-1808 oil filter....

    Just talked to a big wheel parts guy at Milton Cat. He poked around on his computer for a minute or two and then said there was not an upgrade for the 749 now or in the near future.....

    So who knows...:)

    Could switch to a fleetguard stratopore, or if they make it the newer nanonet technology.
