Cat engine serial number help please

Any peterbilt dealer can tell you what the serial number is on the factory engine. Im betting it will be a 5ek

Same thing my 96 w9 has

 

My 96 pete came with 8PN mechanical cat with wide rods

 

My old 3406A was missing the S/N plate as well. I found nothing at the passenger rear but I did find the engine S/N stamped on the driver's side of the block. It was an inch or 2 below the head and about 2/3 of the way back. Don't know if Cat was still doing that in '96 though.

 

I'm guessing a 6ts ser#

 

Mine has it on the drivers side on an 08

 

C-model
