Go to utilities, preferences, modify. Is your USB link set up correct in ET? Can you talk to other CAT engines with the same setup?
-
Might want to post truck make/model/year as well.
Goodysnap Thanks this. -
Sorry for not replying. I tried another CAT and it won't respond either. The adapter is set up correctly with the same settings as other programs use like Insite, all which work nicely.
I am on RP1210 Compliant device and have Nexiq USB link 2 bluetooth selected as the device.
Its giving me error 275. (ERR_OPENING_PORT). I get this error whether I am connected to the truck or not..

The engine is reporting no faults, though I'm not seeing 60 Ohms across the can bus when powered off

Bluetooth is wireless. If you are hardwired this is not the correct setting. I have never found the bluetooth connection on the Nexiq to be reliable or fast enough to be productive.
Intothesunset Thanks this. -
I tried to set it as just the nexiq usb link 2 without WiFi or Bluetooth and it gives an adapter error.
Anything else I can try? -

The device tester was giving me the same error as Cat et was giving me,
and obviously no can messages going through of any kind. Tried all J1939 channels as well as Bluetooth version of nexiq and non-wifi,non-Bluetooth options, all which gave no messages.Last edited: Jul 29, 2019
