When hard acceleration, my engine has been losing power and the check engine light will come on. The light will not stay on when you pull off the accelerator and put it back down.
The only code the shop is saying is a 171-3 Ambient Temp Sensor voltage above normal. Would this effect the engine? That is the only code that is showing.

Codes from the cruise control are 58, 25 and 63.
-
58 is a J1939 device issue
25 is a boost pressure sensor issue
63 is a low fuel pressure issue.
You need Cat ET to know more. Without knowing the exact faults and counts, I'd be looking for a wiring issue at the boost pressure sensor and fuel pressure sensor. -
I had the truck to the shop today. They told the only code was the 171-3 which is the ambient air code. I checked these myself on the cruise control. They had to show in ET didn't they? I kinda question their ability. It is losing power when hard acceleration up hills mostly. Or if you get in the fuel real hard on flats. Where is the boost pressure sensor located on the C7's?

how old is the oil in it, if I'm not mistaking these are HEIU injectors and they need very clean oil to work right.
a truck where I work was having the same issues as yours, I told them to change the oil before anything, problem fixed. -
