Is Cassens a good company to get into car hauling with? Interested in Georgetown or Princeton terminal. Any insight or info would be appreciated.

Well I would say yes money insurance, retirement ,otr is for the stupid and unecucated, low pay,no insurance and retire when you die , more regs than most 70 hours every week just to earn a low wage, No social life, peop l e li I e dispatchers and brokers and Leo and other truckers who hate your guts.
Wish I did that 40 years ago I be setting on a pile of money and a pension, and would have lived a great life otr is not a life -
It seems like it would be about as good as it gets in the trucking industry. Loading and unloading cars in all types of weather would be challenging no doubt but a little work never hurt anyone.

Cassens drivers make insanely good money and never sleep in a truck. They are in hotels every night instead.

Cassens is a great company. One of the top tier companies when it comes to pay and benefits.

Is it 60 or 90 days before you can join the union? How easy is it to get let go before becoming a union memember?

But the same as any right to work state ,fired just because no reason needed as Indiana is , anybody can be fired for ne reason.

Princeton on lay off. Gtown is nearly all shuttle work, 2 rounds to Louisville/strawberry a day slip seat.
