    Help!

long story short, my bank accounts frozen due to fraudulent activity. I have no cash on me.

I know I can use my comdata card at the pump to do a cash advance, but how does that work exactly? Anyone done it before?

    help ASAP!

Pump should ask you if you want a cash advance when you fuel. Or you just take your card to the desk and tell them you need an advance. They will want all your info as if you were fueling including truck mileage.

My company lets me do 80.00 at a time. But ive only used it like twice.

Consider a cash card like an amex or something so you dont have to worry if you have to freeze your account or you find you need to fly home from some crazy place.

The cash advance you withdraw is later deducted from your pay check

The cash advance comes out of your future payments. Yet it is a dangerous slope. Many companies will charge a fee on your "early withdrawl"

As to your account being frozen? Did you bother to tell the bank that you would be going OTR before you did so? I bet you didnt. The bank saw your activity wasnt where it used to be. Since you didnt notify them, they saw you making purchases. Since you didnt tell them, they branded your use as dangerous. Contact your account at your bank. They will ask you some personal questions. Like what were the last two purchases that you made. It only takes 24 hours to clear it up. Then you also need to notify them that you are out of your normal area and that they need to know that as a truck driver you need something other than your debit card. IE an account you can pay into and use while you are OTR. Make sure it has limited funds in case there is suspicious activity in the future.

When you stick your fuel card in the pump, it will ask you things like
-tractor fuel only (if no, it will set for reefer also)
    -oil or any additives
-cash advance ( and it will show $0-the dollar limit your company set). Enter in the amount you want. When you finish fueling, hang up the pumps and go to he fuel desk. Tell them your pump number and that you are here to pick up the advance. They will have you sign for it and hand you cash. Easy peasy.

Next time, do not use your debit card at various places, like restaurants and WalMart. Use cash.
