Its a new truck, 2015 FL Cascadia DD15 EVO. Starting out with engine fairly warm, shifting is fine on the way up from low to hi range, going back down I have problems. When I flip the switch to go back to low range, I hear the air hiss normally, but then seems like it stops short of actually getting any action on the gearbox. Sometimes if I flip it again a time or two it will go, but its sluggish and feels like somethings sticking. Once I'm up to normal operating temp everything is golden, no problems. Didn't really have a problem earlier in the year, maybe did it twice or so on cooler mornings, but now that temps are dropping its becoming more of an issue. Hopefully its a quick fix, something simple. Anyone else had this issue?
Cascadia Range selector switch problem.

Have u drained the air in the tanks maybe put some air brake antifreeze sounds like something is getting little frozen

Sounds like something in your air line. If airline conditioner doesn't work. Change your knob. Just changed mine cost about $25. took 1/2 hour to change. Make sure you have new ferrules(brass rings that compress your air line under the nut) before you take old one off. Parts house had a different name for them.

You have warranty it could be the selector in the transmission is sticking or the pressure regulator is low, the dealer has experts, let them look at it for free.
I have seen it as simple as the range selector needs a little lube, removed the hose squirt in a little ATF or silicone lube, I am not a gear man but worked with some of the very best.Last edited: Dec 3, 2014
