Cascadia 2015. Are there any major changes/improvements under the hood? Fuel system, turbo and etc? I meant, does it make a sense to get 2015 Cascadia for higher price?

2008-09 are the same, 2010-13 are the same, 2014-16 are the same as far as emissions are concerned.
Shad Thanks this. -

A 2015 with 400k mileage had to be a team truck..which never shut down..ran weeks at a time...just a thought.
Shad Thanks this. -
You might want to check vin numbers at the dealer and check what mileage was registered when.
Try to see how the mileage was put on the truck..had a pm with nearly the same mileage as today...six months ago?Shad Thanks this. -
Thank you all for reply.
I am on step one now, just got list of potential trucks to see, but in january planning to buy one. Well, in generally i could buy a 2014 Cascadias? Why i am asking is some nice 2014-2015 trucks are all around the country.Mostly in Utah, Texas, Missouri. I am trying to save my time and NARROW my search.
And one more thing- units with an APU has less idled and has more engine life than unit without????? Just my silly point -
APU is something else to go wrong, but that debate won't go away.
I was going to point out that date of build and date placed in service, and other factors, can affect the mileage of a truck of a given model year. The 2013 I normally drive was built in 6/12, I got it on 8/12 with 2k on it, and due to several factors, only has about 400k on it, but idled significantly so it has above normal hours for the mileage.
I drove a 2014 just a month, and it was immediately apparent that it ran better and got better fuel mileage.
The 2015 probably is an Evolution engine or could be, that went to an asymmetrical turbo in place of the standard old style, which made it more responsive and gives better engine braking, ditched the turbo compounding, as far as I know, and lots of other improvements as mentioned in previous posts. There are lots of used Cascadias floating around out there with the red Cummins under the hood, too, just saying
I like open tanks and steps for what I run, but those are getting more difficult to find. Evolutions most likely have full aero treatment, at least the ones with sleepers.Shad and Steel Dragon Thank this. -
I have a 2014 Cascadia and I think 2014 is when they changed up to newer emissions system that's easier to repair and maintenance . Im seeing 6.75 mpg pulling a mix between heavy and light loads , at the begining of the year I was close to 7.00 mpg cruising between 65 and 70 . The APU I have on my truck has low miles but has been a headache .
Shad and Steel Dragon Thank this. -

People says that Prime fleet trucks are good, do anyone have a Prime’s Cascadia?
