Carfax For Trucks?

    Does anyone know if there is a similar service for Class-8 trucks. Something that can check the VIN number to make sure there wasn't any major claim, being totaled, flood or fire?

    Now if something has been totaled will that show up in the title? Or turn it into a salvage title or something like that?

    Find somebody that can run an ISO report for you. It will pull the most information; every claim by every insurance company, when, where, and by whom. ISO is used by insurance companies to catch fraud such as dual coverage, reinsurance of a totaled vehicle without a salvaged title, vin forging etc.

    I did a Carfax search on a class 8 truck once. I got a report on it. It had title history as well as accident history. It had been in an accident. I knew this because of the damage evident on the truck and the Carfax report confirmed it. I believe as long as a vehicle has a Vehicle Information Number a Carfax report can be pulled.

    Thank for information and I get one of these done then and I will ask my insurance company if they can do an ISO report.
